Feds: Animal rescue owner plotted to kidnap former employee rather than pay her

FBI agents on Tuesday arrested Leo Grillo, the 77-year-old founder of a nonprofit animal rescue organization, and charged him with the attempted kidnapping of a former employee who won a $6.7-million wrongful termination judgment against him.

Mother dies protecting her son from dog attack at grandmother's SoCal home

An Arizona mother was visiting her mother's home in Big River, Calif. on Friday. One of her mother's dogs had recently had puppies, which were in a cardboard box near the front door, the release said. The child went near the box and was attacked and his mother stepped in to protect him.
